Your account settings are available from the Profile page. Click your name or avatar in the bottom of the sidebar to open it.

Personal information

Name

Your display name appears in the sidebar, on audit logs, and in notification emails.
  1. Click the edit icon next to your name
  2. Update your first name and/or last name
  3. Click Save

Avatar

Click the camera icon on your avatar to upload a new profile photo. Images must be under 2 MB. Your avatar appears in the sidebar and on activity feeds.

Email

Your email is used for sign-in and notifications. Changing it requires verification:
  1. Click Change Email
  2. Enter your new email address
  3. A verification link is sent to the new address
  4. Click the link in the email to confirm the change
Your email does not change until you click the verification link. If you don’t receive the email, check your spam folder.

Security

Change password

  1. Click Change Password on the Profile page
  2. Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters)
  3. Confirm the new password
  4. Click Save
You’ll stay signed in after changing your password.

Preferences

The Preferences tab lets you customise your default view:

Click Reset Settings to return all preferences to their defaults.

Organisations

The Profile page shows a read-only list of the organisations you belong to, along with your role in each (Organisation Admin, Coordinator, or Capturer). Contact your Organisation Admin if your role needs to change.

Deactivating your account

If you need to remove your account:
  1. Scroll to the Danger Zone section on the Profile page
  2. Click Deactivate Account
  3. Review the confirmation dialog — your sign-in access will be removed and you’ll be removed from all organisations
  4. Click Deactivate to confirm
If you’re the only Organisation Admin for one or more organisations, you’ll need to assign another admin before you can deactivate. CaptrID will tell you which organisations need a new admin.
After deactivation:
  • You can no longer sign in
  • Your audit history is preserved for compliance
  • Your data contributions (photos, approvals) remain in the system
  • Contact support@captrid.com if you need to reactivate
